Holding It Together
Recycled Metal Chair Balancer Sculpture
Handcrafted from reclaimed and recycled metal — giving new life to industrial materials, meaning no two are ever the same.
Some days it feels like you’re balancing on a chair, on a cube, on another cube, on a base that’s barely holding it all together. Sound familiar?
Holding It Together is a handcrafted metal sculpture made from reclaimed industrial components — steel wire, nuts, bolts and colourful geometric steel forms — welded by hand and mounted on a solid steel display base. A lone figure perches impossibly atop a miniature chair, which sits on a red cube, which balances on a blue cube, which rests on a sleek black base. The whole thing looks like it shouldn’t work — and yet it does.
It’s the kind of piece that earns its place on a shelf, a desk or a windowsill — and starts conversations every time.
Work with your hands, heal your mind.
